WeHost: Airbnb's concierge start-up arrives in Cannes

Airbnb, the American property management platform, is expanding its activities in the largest French cities. Despite the negative reactions of Cannes hoteliers to its blatant development, Airbnb intends to launch the start-up WeHost at the end of June, which will make it easier for owners to manage seasonal rentals in Cannes.

Airbnb is a key player in Provencal tourism, with an economic weight weighing more than 560 million euros in the PACA region. More than a third of the accommodation offered for rent on the platform is also located in Nice and Cannes. Hence the decision to set up a start-up in these two cities, to support owners in the short-term rental of their property.

WeHost offers an all-in-one service, ranging from the creation and optimization of an ad, to the check-in and stewardship such as the supply of household linen (sheets, tea towels, towels, carpet bath, etc.), the welcome kit (soap, cotton, toothpaste, etc.) as well as the check-out with key collection, cleaning service, inventory.

Airbnb is therefore preparing to launch a service that is very similar to what is offered in residential hotels and luxury hotels.
