The Nuki Smart Lock
The Nuki Smart Lock is an adaptable Bluetooth lock allowing intelligent access via a smartphone. This virtual key is compatible with European locking cylinders and is easily mounted on the inside of a lock in place. The Nuki Smart Lock automatically opens the door when the owner comes home and locks it again as soon as they leave.
A virtual key for Airbnb hosts
Austrian start-up Nuki specializes in the design of intelligent access solutions. Recently, the company signed a contract with the tourist rental management platform Airbnb, in order to simplify the activity of owners. From now on, hosts will be able to associate a smart lock with their Airbnb account. Called Nuki Smart Lock, Nuki's virtual key will allow travelers to access the rented accommodation without necessarily using conventional keys.
The Nuki app to unlock the doors
Available for download for 350 euros, the Nuki Smart Lock is easy to install. After confirming a reservation on the Airbnb platform, hosts automatically receive a message containing a link inviting them to download the Nuki app. This will then allow them to unlock and lock the door of the rented accommodation. Travelers' access to accommodation is automatically limited by the app depending on the length of their stay.
