Good morning ! To start, could you introduce yourself in a few words?
Hello, I'm Joël, I manage the towns of Cassis, La Ciotat, Le Castellet and Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer. I studied university law in Aix en Provence. I obtained a master's degree in private law. After my studies I was a business manager. I created a wholesale linen company. I got closer to the concierge world in order to have more human contact. Indeed, in my first structure everything is done remotely.
What motivated you to start an Airbnb concierge service?
I first helped a friend who himself had a rental management agency based in Marseille. It was on this occasion that I realized that we were offering families a little moment of happiness. It was a click for me. It is above all the reception of travelers that is striking. It is a moment of sharing during which we become aware that we bring them a moment of serenity and joy.
Why did you choose this sector to establish your activity?
It almost imposed itself on me because I live in La Ciotat. I know this small town and its surroundings very well. It is good to live there. The climate there is almost perfect. We have almost everything, in summer there is the sea and the creeks but we are also very close to fantastic places for hikes or walks accessible to all. These cities are lively all year round with marinas but also weekly markets and of course night markets during the summer months. There really is a lot to discover in this region. I recommend having lunch on the port of cassis, the restaurants specializing in fish are excellent.
