Infographic on how to rent out your second home

Transcript of the Airbnb infographic Renting your second home

I live there less than 8 months a year

  • Before you start:
If I am a tenant and not an owner: I check that my lease contract authorizes me to sublet my accommodation.
  • Prior checks:
If my residence is located in a condominium, I must first check that the regulations authorize the activity of furnished tourist rentals.
  • My steps in town hall:
The declaration is mandatory. If the change of use and/or the registration number are also mandatory in my city, I undertake these steps and mention my number on my ad.
  • My tax procedures:
I register in the Insee siren directory to obtain a SIRET number and I send a form to the registry of the commercial court of the place of my residence.
  • Rental time limit:
I can rent out my main residence to vacationers for up to 120 days per year.
