“Beyond by Airbnb” also concerns high-end accommodation, but with a selection of luxury properties where the client himself will have access to a concierge service that will take care of organizing their entire stay, with tailor-made offers including visits, activities, catering, travel, etc. The American platform relies in particular on a partnership with the Canadian company Luxury Retreats to supply “Beyond by Airbnb”.

1 billion travelers per year by 2018

With these two new offers, Airbnb is getting closer to the high-end services sought by so many visitors to luxury hotels. Through the “Beyond by Airbnb” and “Airbnb Plus” offers, the American platform wants to attract business customers who are somewhat reluctant to opt for private accommodation because of the excessive risk of unpleasant surprises when they arrive.

The integration of high-end accommodation in Airbnb offers will also ensure the development of the platform for the next decade. Indeed, after welcoming 300 million travelers during its first 10 years of existence, the American platform intends to reach a target of 1 billion travelers per year by 2028.

For now, Airbnb has registered 4,5 million homes in 81 cities around the world.
